This is Biography Imagine Dragons is a musical group originating from the United States that oscillates between the genres of Alternative Rock, Indie Rock and Pop Rock. Today it is formed by Daniel Platzman, on drums; Wayne Sermon, on guitar; Ben McKee, on bass; and Dan Reynolds, on vocals; in addition to Kevin, the imaginary dragon.

This one is mainly recognized for her 2012 debut album Night Visions and for her song from one of her EPs It’s Time. Imagine Dragons’ musical beginnings date back to 2008, when Dan Reynolds and Andrew Tolman met at Brigham Young University, where they both studied. Shortly thereafter they had the idea of forming a band, so they added Andrew Beck on guitar, Dave Lemke on bass, and Aurora Florence on piano to form a first group to be called Ragged Insomnia, which is an anagram to its current name.

By 2009, the band was already called Imagine Dragons with the intention of having a more commercial name, and already had musicians Wayne Sermon, Brittany Tolman, and Ben McKee in its formation, without having Dave Lemke who left the group.Installed in Dan Reynolds’ hometown of Las Vegas, and leaving behind several followers in Provo, Utah, Imagine Dragons recorded and released the first of their three EP.

Imagine Dragons, Hell and Silence and It’s Time, all before having a contract with a record label. For the same 2009, the band was called to replace the group Train at the Bite of Las Vegas Festival, as their vocalist, Pat Monahan, had fallen ill.

Imagine Dragons was presented to an audience of more than 26,000 people and won Best Local Indian Band, delivered by Las Vegas Weekly; Best Vegas SEVEN CD of 2011; Vegas Music Summit Headliner, 2010; and Newest Must See Live Act, delivered by Las Vegas CityLife.

For 2011, and replacing the Tolman couple with Daniel Platzman and Theresa Flaminio, Imagine Dragons signed a contract with Interscope Records and began working on a new album with Grammy-winning producer Alex da Kid.

So, having left the band with keyboardist Therea Flaminio, Imagine Dragons digitally released the Continued Silence EP on February 14, 2012 (Valentine’s Day), which climbed to 40th on the Billboard 200 list. This was followed by the Hear Me EP in the same year.

However, the consolidation of this musical group would not occur until after two specific releases. The first, the release of the single “It’s Time”, with which the band was nominated for Best Rock Video in the MTV Video Music Award, ranked 15th on the Billboard Hot 100 list, and achieved the double certification of Platinum Disc delivered by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The second, the release on September 4, 2012 of their first studio album, Night Visions, with which they managed to sell more than 83 thousand albums after their first week and with which they climbed to second place on the Billboard 200. In addition, this was certified with Platinum Album both in the United States and in Brazil, United Kingdom, Sweden, Poland, Mexico, New Zealand, Austria, Australia, Portugal and Switzerland. Three of his songs reached the Top 40 of ARIA and the United Kingdom, as well as the Billboard Top 40.

And finally, the album itself was nominated for Best International Album of the Year at the Juno Awards and won as a Top Rock Billboard Music Award Album. It was then that Imagine Dragons reached international glory, becoming one of the most important Rock bands in the world. the other two singles from this first album also achieved great success.

Radioactive” boasts more than 7 million copies to date, and managed to stay in 87 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as 23 weeks in first place on the Hot Rock Songs. Apart from this, he achieved a Grammy for Best Rock Performance and Diamond certification from the RIAA. For its part, “Demons” has had sales of more than 5 million and also positioned itself within the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Pop Songs.

After the successful Night Visions Tours, Imagine Dragons took a break and released their next studio album, Smoke Mirrors, on February 17, 2015, which has sold more than 1 million copies and debuted in the top spot on the Billboard 200.

He then participated in the films Yo Antes de Ti and Escuadrón suicida; and collaborated with artists such as Wiz Khalife, Logic, Lil Wayne, X Ambassadors and Ty Dolla Sign. These works were followed by studio albums Evolve, released on June 23, 2017; and Origins, announced for November 9, 2018.
