Lady Gaga

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga was born in Yonkers (New York, USA) on 28 March 1986. Her father was born in Palermo while her mother was born in Venice, and for her music and style Lady Gaga was inspired by the pop music of the eighties by artists such as Michael Jackson and Madonna, but also by the glam rock of artists such as David Bowie and Queen. A great fan of Freddie Mercury, his stage name is inspired by the song “Radio Ga Ga” by Queen. He made his debut in the record market in 2008 with the album “The Fame”: successful singles such as “Just Dance”, “Poker Face”, “Bad Romance” and “Paparazzi” were extracted. The fame spreads especially in Australia, America, Canada, New Zealand and Italy. thanks to his debut album in the United States reached the record of having 4 singles placed at number 1 in the Billboard Pop 100. In 2009 comes an EP entitled “The Fame Monster”. In August 2010, news was given that Lady Gaga will have her wax reproduction in every Madame Tussauds museum, setting the record of being the first artist in history to have all the statues presented simultaneously in the ten museums around the world. In the same period she received thirteen nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards, an absolute record for an artist: she then won eight. 2011 saw the release of her second studio album, entitled “Born this way”, and as it was easy to predict it was immediately a worldwide success. This is followed by “Artpop” in 2013, “Cheek to Cheek” (with Tony Bennett) in 2014 and “Joanne” in 2016. In 2018 he starred in the film “A Star is Born”, the first film directed by Bradley Cooper: the song Shallow played by Lady Gaga and the actor-director himself, excited a lot and won the Oscar.
